In the heart of the West End, the Rutland Hotel is home to an award-winning steak restaurant in the form of Kyloe, named after an ancient Scots word for beef cattle. McKirdy’s Steakhouse

It was in 1895 that the McKirdys first made an appearance as butchers in Edinburgh and East Lothian - and a steakhouse serving their own meats was the next logical step. It’s perfectly located for Haymarket station and the staff are fantastic. Try the medallions of fillet when you visit: not only will you get to sample their succulent steaks, but it’s a dish that includes McKirdy’s award-winning haggis too, which shouldn’t be missed!
